Meet Michael Tann

Working to bring safety, opportunity, and smart growth to every neighborhood in District 5.

Michael’s Story

Father. Husband. Veteran. Retired Law Enforcement. Candidate.

I proudly served four years in the U.S. Army, earning multiple commendations before an honorable discharge. I went on to a 25-year career with the Department of Corrections, retiring as Associate Warden. For the next decade, I continued working inside prisons as a consultant, bringing innovative programs to help change lives.

A longtime volunteer leader, I’ve served as Parent Club President, School District Parent Council President, and today I work with grassroots organizations supporting victims of injustice. I’m a supporter of the arts, local businesses, and families in need.

Most importantly, I’m a proud husband and father of two daughters, one in college and one in middle school who inspire me every day.

“I’m not running to hold a title. I’m running to work for my constituents.”
